Site compatibility
The ACTE website is optimized for those using the Microsoft Internet Explorer Web browser. Those using other browsers, such as Netscape, may experience minor unpredictable differences and incompatibilities.
General navigation
There are three means of navigating the site.
- The top row of text button links, the lefthand text button links, and footer small type links.
- The Site map, which gives a general outline of subsections.
- Site search.

- features the most comprehensive career and technical education news and information on the Internet.

My member log-in doesn't work
Resolving the problem:
- You have entered your number or your last name incorrectly. All ACTE member numbers are six digits. All ACTE last names are the last name used in your ACTE member database record. See your ACTE membership card or Techniques magazine mailing label for the correct log-in information.
- Your membership has expired. Contact your state association or ACTE headquarters (acte@acteonline.org), 800-826-9972, to verify the expiration and for steps to renew your membership.
- You are a new member and your membership record has not yet been created at ACTE headquarters. Contact ACTE headquarters (acte@acteonline.org), 800-826-9972, to confirm. ACTE will issue you temporary access codes.
Registered nonmember restricted content
Nonmembers of ACTE may access restricted content by registering through the CTE Community link on the site. Registered nonmember restricted content includes:
- Use the boards to discuss issues, get answers to questions, seek and share information with friends and colleagues. Members have access to both the Members Only discussion boards and the CTE Community boards.
- ACTE-wire e-newsletters. Registered nonmembers can subscribe free of charge to Legislative Alert, ACTE's breaking news service on career tech policy, legislation and funding; and ACTE News, a monthly update on ACTE events, programs, announcements and calls.
